This technique is one of the most simple techniques for making beautiful, unique cards.

Step 1:  Go to one of the many fractal websites to view the images you would like to use.  I have listed one at the bottom of the page to get you started.

Step 2:  Once you have chosen the images you like, print them out on your color printer.

Step 3:  Take the printed fractals and use a framing matte to choose the portion of the fractal that you like.  (Hint:  I use a black piece of construction paper with a 4x6 rectangle cut out of the middle.)

Step 4:  Cut the fractal out and use it as a background for your card.  Then combine other stamping techniques in a layering fashion to achieve the desired look.

Companies that make stamps that work well with fractals are:

  • Impressions in Inc.
  • A Stamp in the Hand
  • Rubber Monger
